I am a queer
and magic woman
My work explores themes of black womanhood, mental health, sexuality, spirituality, and Jamaican culture and society. Through poetry and fiction, I aim to create and hold space for conversations that are always and in all ways inclusive, healing, paradigm-shifting and true to my magic.
I like to think that the stories I tell are not only mine but a gathering and a retelling of the tales, dreams and lived experiences of all the women I am and know, all the women I have ever been and have known and all the women I will become and come to know.
Find me on a good day, between naps and existential panic attacks, drinking a strong cup of ginga’ tea and reading love poems to my plants or on Instagram and Twitter ranting about mental wellness, my plant babies, and other relevant tings.
You can also check out my blog where I dive into anything and everything from mental health to intentionally existing and the art and artists that influence my writing and my politics.
